Northwest opened up the air lane across the North Pacific and had the most experience of flying into Japan of any airline. For our crews and passengers, one of the most special times of year to visit Japan was during cherry blossom season as the cities and countryside would seemingly overnight transform into floral wonderlands, adding their beauty to the architecture and landscapes, and calling forth parties, weddings, and welcome springtime walks. The celebrations go on, and we can enjoy them while cheering the memory of the carrier that brought the world to Japan to join in the fun.
